about

HELLO!

nom here! a nomad (well, kind of!), currently in sunny california.

there’s a lot to say in this space, but among the many things that motivate me to get out of bed every morning, I’m especially enthusiastic about traveling, writing, creating, and learning + trying new things. All with the intention of making an impact and/or inspiring others, even if in small ways.

I’m also a little bit of a space nerd, always curious about how the universe works, which is why I enjoy watching space documentaries and reading some astronomy in my free time.

These days, you’d most likely find me training for my next race (yes, i love running!) or working on my first book, which hopefully will be finished by the end of 2026 (so exciting!).

favorite travel story

At the age of 18, I was picked to be one of the 350 delegates out of 5000+ worldwide applicants to attend the 7th World Youth Congress in Brazil. I was that young lady going on a solo trip for two weeks with nothing in mind but to step into the shoes of international policymakers and gain first-hand experience in policy formulation and world governance. Although it wasn’t my first trip, seeing myself getting around, meeting people from every corner of the world and exploring things on my own definitely changed the course of my life.

What really had a huge impact on me was taking part in more than 50 action projects in different parts of the city, getting some hands-on experience of community improvement projects in the Favelas of Rio de Janeiro. Never before have I realized how much power you can have once you’ve been given a chance to get out there and expose yourself to another side of the world – a world you don’t know anything about, you didn’t grow up in. I’ve met so many amazing global changemakers, and I’ve found it truly enriching to have the opportunity to talk to like-minded people. And I couldn’t help but examine how I can give back to this world as well – on what terms and how I can do this in my own little ways. From then on, I continuously aim to add meaning to my journeys. Whether it’s traveling responsibly, staying at a local home, learning local cultures, joining local projects, or simply interacting with locals.

favorite place visited

Cape Agulhas in South Africa, definitely! It was easily my favorite destination. Standing between two oceans at once? Oh, what a moment. Looking out over the ocean, bird-watching in the fresh air, and knowing you are standing at the very end of the African continent. I literally cried. It’s as if my body was being vitalized while my eyes were filled with soaring birds and glorious views of the icy ocean and outrageous waves. As someone who’s mad crazy about the wonders of this world, you can imagine how happy I was to have made it to the Southernmost point of Africa.
